    Selection of Solar Panel Chamber:

    RIUKAI solar panel test systems offer customised environmental chamber solutions for testing solar panels, grid-connected PV inverters or PV cells and modules.Since the rate of change in the specifications is flexible,you can choose a slower system to save money and utilities, or a faster system to shorten the time of or choose a faster system to shorten the test time.In order for you to choose the better equipment, we need to know the following information:

    – Required internal space of the test chamber
    – The heating and cooling rates required
    – Dimensions, total weight and number of solar panels, photovoltaic modules
    – Loading technique to optimise efficiency

    Will the panels be powered during the test? What level and complexity of functional testing or data measurement and acquisition (e.g., temperature, voltage, and current) is required ?

    Description of Solar Panel Chamber:

    RIUKAI walk-in environmental chambers are available in a variety of sizes and configurations for storing products in specific environmental conditions, as well as for product reliability and verification testing.Ideal for testing large products, batches of products, or using panelized or welded walk-in environmental chamber solutions are ideal for complete vehicle testing.

    Applicable IEC 61215 & 61646 test methods:

    • 10.11 Thermal Cycling Test — Cycling between 85℃ and -40℃ at 100℃/hour maximum
    • 10.12 Humidity-Freeze Test — Cycling between 85℃ / 85%RH and -40℃
    • 10.13 Damp Heat Test — 85°C/85%RH for 1000 hours

    Other environmental test methods for photovoltaic solar panels:

    • IEC 62108 for concentrator photovoltaic assemblies (International Electrotechnical Commission) — Similar tests as IEC-61215
    • JIS C-8990, C-8991, C-8917, C-8938 (Japanese Industrial Standard) — Similar tests as IEC-61215
    • UL-1703 for flat-plate photovoltaic modules (Underwriter’s Laboratories)
